Christopher Kyle's plays include Plunge and The Monogamist, both of which premiered off-Broadway at Playwrights Horizons (The Monogamist was also published in American Theatre magazine); The Safety Net, which premiered at Broken Watch Theatre Company in New York; Boca, which premiered at Charlotte Repertory Theatre; and Dessert at Waffle House, Breakfast Anytime, which was produced at West Coast Ensemble.  Other plays include Rachel, Berlin, Event Horizon, The Wilderness, Pacific Rim, This Blessed Knot, and American Pandora.  His work has been presented by New York Theatre Workshop, Primary Stages, Seattle Rep., McCarter Theatre, New York Stage & Film, Williamstown Theatre Festival, Lincoln Center Library, Ensemble Studio Theatre, Naked Angels, Asolo Theatre, American Place Theatre, the National Theatre of Bulgaria, and by many others.  A former Guggenheim Fellow in playwriting, Mr. Kyle has been the recipient of commissions from the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation, Seattle Rep., Dreamworks and the Charles H. Revson Foundation and his plays have been honored with the Stanley Drama Award and the Morton R. Sarett Memorial Playwriting Award.

Mr. Kyle’s film credits include Oliver Stone’s Alexander and two films directed by frequent collaborator Kathryn Bigelow: K-19: The Widowmaker (starring Harrison Ford and Liam Neeson) and The Weight of Water (with Sean Penn).  He also wrote two episodes of the long-running television series Homicide: Life on the Street.  Other screenplays, as yet unproduced, include an adaptation of Erik Larson's bestseller The Devil in the White City, a remake of The Parallax View for Tom Cruise, The Death of Conrad Shepherd for producer Walter Parkes, a script about the Bay of Pigs invasion for director Ron Howard, and an adaptation of the bestselling novel The Interpretation of Murder.

Mr. Kyle's recent and upcoming screenwriting projects include Serena for director Darren Aronofsky, an original supernatural thriller, Dark Highway, and The Crowded Room for Leonardo DiCaprio.

Mr. Kyle is a graduate of Indiana State University and the MFA program in playwriting at Columbia University.  He is a member of the Writers Guild of America East and the Dramatists Guild, served on the membership committee for the Dramatists Guild and is currently on the board of the Broken Watch Theatre Company, where he chaired the play selection committee for the first annual Final Draft Series.  He has also served as a volunteer mentor for the Writer's Guild of America East Foundation's Veterans Writing Project.  A native of Terre Haute, Indiana, he now lives in Rockland County, New York with his wife and two children.
