Current Projects/News (site updated 7/27/10) The Crowded Room a/k/a The Minds of Billy Milligan is screenplay based on the true story of Billy Milligan, a man who was arrested in Columbus, Ohio in the 1970s and was subsequently discovered to have over 20 distinct personalities. The producers are Alexandra Milchan and Leonardo DiCaprio and Jennifer Killoran of Appian Way. Edward Zwick is attached to direct. Serena is a screen adaptation of the recent novel by Ron Rash. Set in the mountains of North Carolina at the beginning of the Great Depression, it's a dark love story about George Pemberton and his wife Serena, a pair of ruthless timber barons trying to exploit their land before the government claims it for a national park. The project is in pre-production with 2929 Entertainment and producers Nick Wechsler, Marc Butan, Steve Schwartz and Paula Mae Schwartz. Darren Aronofsky is attached to direct. Sloan Foundation, a longstanding supporter of plays about science and technology. The play examines the life of an archaeologist who has spent his career trying to demolish the prevailing theory about the peopling of the Americas.
